Christmas Jumper Day 2020 | Passmore Raise Funds For Rescue Cat, Cassie

17 December 2020

On Friday 11th December Passmore’s took part in the annual Christmas jumper day. Donating £2 each, a total of £56 was raised with all this year’s proceeds going to beloved company rescue cat; Cassie.

Cassie was first discovered in the main office car park in Leeds, LS12, a little over two years ago. Following capture, a trip to the salon, and vets, it soon came to light that Cassie was severely underweight and malnourished.

Taking it upon herself to give Cassie the best second chance in life, Passmore Stock Administrator and devoted cat lover, Mahri, adopted Cassie and is now taking care (and footing the bill) for her ongoing care and medical treatments. Friday saw the Passmore office staff dress in their best (or arguably worst) Christmas jumper. Taking the ‘fashionable’ attire to a vote it was unanimously decided that this year’s Christmas jumper trophy holder would be awarded to newcomer, and company Financial Controller, Andy, who opted a ‘snazzy’ patterned design.

For four consecutive years Passmores have taken part in the annual Christmas jumper day, helping to raise funds for a variety of charities. Most recently donating to the ‘Save The Children’ fund it was decided that this year we’d keep it a little closer to home.

Acknowledging and celebrating Mahri’s selfless act of kindness we felt it was only right that we show her, and Cassie, our support, which Mahri was sincerely grateful for: “I’m so appreciative for everyone’s donations to help with Cassie’s vet trips and treatments, thank you to everyone involved.”
