Passmore Group Awarded 5 Year Home Adaptions Contract With Leeds Building Services

Passmore Group has been awarded a new 5 year contract with Leeds Building Services to undertake home adaptations within council owned residences on behalf of Leeds City Council.

For over 30 years Passmore Group have worked in conjunction with Leeds City Council, delivering home adaptations through the Disabled Facilities Grant within privately owned homes.

The new 5 year contract means Passmore Group can now also offer their knowledge and expertise to improve the comfort and safety for residents within council owned homes. This will include the installation of disabled bathrooms and accessible bathrooms alongside carrying out internal and external home adaptations in the form of access ramps, accessible kitchens and room conversions.

Transforming over 800 homes a year, Passmore Group were awarded the contract due to their “consistent demonstration of quality of service and delivery.” The tender criteria for Leeds city council also considered demonstrational evidence of company qualifications, health and safety accreditations, equal opportunity and environmental laws; as well as the ability to complete home adaptations within time and on budget.

Managing Director, Tony Passmore, commented on the contract “we are delighted to have won this contract to provide additional work for Leeds City Council. It’s a real pleasure to provide the needed safety adaptations and create independence for elderly and disabled council residents.”

On completion of her disabled wet room Ms Wrenshaw of Wakefield, West Yorkshire, commented “our new wet room has really transformed our quality of life, especially for my son who has autism and a learning disability.”

The home adaptations contract with Leeds Building Services is in addition to a number of similar local council contracts Passmore Group has throughout the Yorkshire region.
