Company director raises £1,465 for Leeds Children’s Charity

16 August 2013

Steve Passmore recently took part in the Jane Tomlinson 10K run in aid of the Leeds Children’s Charity where he raised an incredible £1,465. The money raised will contribute to allowing the disadvantaged and socially excluded children of Leeds the release and respite of a holiday. The run took place in and around the Leeds area and was completed in just under 58 minutes.

The Passmore Group have been actively involved in raising money and awareness for the charity since early 2012. The continuous effort and involvement is a personal experience and one which will remain very close to the hearts of the current directors Steve and Tony Passmore, whose grandmother visited Silverdale as a child in the early 1900's.

Steve, was delighted with the outcome of the event and added: “The atmosphere on the day was incredible, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a little anxious in the lead up however I really enjoyed the challenge and there was a great sense of community spirit. To add even further delight I exceeded both my set targets in terms of money raised and time taken to complete, in all a fantastic day, with fantastic people raising money and awareness for great causes.”
